De-cat pipes are not illegal as far as I know.....but you need to check what effect fitting one would have on the mapping on your bike. Also if you remove the pre-cat but not the main cat you can have problems with the main cat clogging. All I know is for Triumphs 1050's if you remove the pre-cat you also need to disable the Lambda sensor as it can really b*gger up the fuelling on the bike......and you need to run a de-cat map for the ECU..... megawatt Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 Never had an emissions test on any of my bikes? Aftermarket pipes are not fitted with Cats, but not sure what the law is on removing one and keeping the original system without a Cat. The fuelling will be totally different without the Cat , so will need to rejet or fit a Dynojet Power Commander or similar device. A dyno set up is usually a good idea! Quote
