mealexme Posted February 24, 2013 Posted February 24, 2013 mealexme - keeping the forum active since 2010.Yea... Another question I'm thinking about getting a race set up for the front brake lines. They are about £20 cheaper than the oem set up, so I can't really go wrong. The problem is, I cant find the answer I want for the question I have...OEM set up is one line coming out of the reservoir, then splits into two further on. So for a race set up, will I need a new reservoir which allows for two lines coming out, or do they still come out of the one hole? I tried looking it up on the net and on google images, but unfortunately its one of those things people assume you know, but if you dont know, your screwed Quote
Stu Posted February 24, 2013 Posted February 24, 2013 you just replace the lines and you get a longer banjo bolt that allows both lines to be attached to the master cylinder Quote

Boothy Posted February 25, 2013 Posted February 25, 2013 http://images.wemoto.com/brakes/racing-line-brakelines.jpg I've got this setup with Hel lines on my Blandit. They are the least rusty thing on the bike. Quote

They are the least rusty thing on the bike.I'm going with HEL too. Least rusty? So do they still rust a bit? LolMy bike isnt actually rusting, I dont know why people say suzukis do. It has a bit on the frame at the front that you cant see, it did have a bit on the rear foot pegs too but thats it Quote
Boothy Posted February 25, 2013 Posted February 25, 2013 They do after a couple of winters... mine was quite a clean low mileage bike when I got it, not anymore. The hel brake lines don't rust at all. Quote
Fozzie Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 All bikes corrode in someway or another. The 2 winters on mine has made some of the aluminium bits pit but the hel lines which I have front and back are great.I put them on in time with carbon lorraine pads and have to say the bike got about 30% more braking power and a sharper feel as my brakes arent the greatest. Reckon its a 4 pot setup on the Bandit too so you and boothy should be in the same boat as me. Quote
