rennie Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 Just plan your journey with a map.Take map with you, stop every so often stretch legs and check map. That's the way we used to do it! Some of us still do. Quote
dannysouthern2013 Posted April 17, 2013 Author Posted April 17, 2013 Ill give it a try! Ill tell you how I get on Quote
Benn Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 I print directions off Google maps and sellotape them to my handle bars What phone do you have? Quote
OhJay Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 I use satnav on my phonePhone lives in my inside jacket pocket then pipe the sound into my ears with a set of earplug earphonesI did plan out mounting it on the bike, had it all mapped out ready and then never went through with it. Look up RAM mounts. Quote
Voodoo Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 Try one of these, they'll fit onto any handlebarshttp://i9.ebayimg.com/01/i/001/6e/6c/1d29_12.JPG Quote
dannysouthern2013 Posted April 17, 2013 Author Posted April 17, 2013 Oh cheers mate, only thing is I've got an aprilia rs50 so I'm not sure if the sporty handlebars would take a handlebar mount Quote
Voodoo Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 The Velcro straps just wrap around the handlebars, so no mount needed, quick to remove too. Quote
dannysouthern2013 Posted April 17, 2013 Author Posted April 17, 2013 Ah okay ill have a look, can you give me a link to where I could buy one? Quote
Voodoo Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 just look for Givi satnav bag in google and you'll find loads of places. If you get one off ebay secondhand and don't like it, you'll always be able to sell it on and perhaps get your money back. Quote
dannysouthern2013 Posted April 17, 2013 Author Posted April 17, 2013 Yeah that's true, which ones are you looking at on ebay? Quote
dannysouthern2013 Posted April 17, 2013 Author Posted April 17, 2013 So do u reckon that's worth looking at? Quote
Voodoo Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 Maybe if you win it for £20Try sending him a message and say you can buy them for £35 new so will he take £15 plus £5 delivery.Worth a try, just keep your fingers crossed he doesn't read this thread. At £20 you'd be able to resell it for about the same price on ebay if you don't like it.Any more than £20 for a secondhand one is too much I think.Alternatively you could always try a tank bag with a clear window on top.
