Lumor_uk Posted May 19, 2013 Posted May 19, 2013 Just been thrashing it round some country lanes at 65, I could barely manage the corners at 60 in my car. Got to a junction and the damn thing stalled.Started on the button after. When i've had carbs in the past I've had to blip the throttle when stopped, when cold or too hot. Haven't had to do it all winter with the fuel injection. So problem occurs when too hot, normal? Didn't do it again for my 15 minute commute. Quote
klingelton Posted May 20, 2013 Posted May 20, 2013 mine did something similar couple of weeks ago. was filtering through some traffic and the damn thing cut out on me when merging back in to pass a traffic island. wouldn't restart immediately (which is annoying because i'd passed a friend and told him to enjoy his wait). after 2 mins or so, it restarted and it's not missed a beat since. I was pretty low on fuel (about 1/4) and was thinking maybe the injectors just got a big gulp of air instead of fuel... Quote
Adam_M Posted May 20, 2013 Posted May 20, 2013 Google CBF125 fuel pump. Thar be all your answers. Quote
Tango Posted May 20, 2013 Posted May 20, 2013 Check the tank breather too......if it's blocked or restricted it could be forming a vacuum in the tank and starving the pump of fuel...... Quote
Lumor_uk Posted May 20, 2013 Author Posted May 20, 2013 Hum well it is a March 2012 bike thanks for bringing that to my attention. Still got a year left on the warranty and AA breakdown."So… today saw the hottest temperatures in this country since 2006! We hit a whopping 32 degrees celsius....On my commute home, about 25 miles into the journey, after maintaining a constant 50-55mph (most of my journey is high speed dual carriageway) as traffic started to slow, I also slowed in order to prepare to filter through it. All of a sudden the engine lost power and the whole machine lurched forward."http://cbf125rider.wordpress.com/2011/0 ... g-problem/ Quote
