Alarm problems

I have a Yamaha FJR 1300 with a Datatool alarm & immobiliser, recently at Hook of Holland waiting to board ferry, I couldn't get the alarm to activate or de-activate meaning the bike was going nowhere! Called out the recovery who took me to Yamaha main dealer. Before the bike was taken off the truck, Hans said to me, 'Your bike will start now!' and it did. Apparently, because of radioactivity and radiation around the port, it affects my remote alarm, all I had to do was push the bike at least 100m from the port and it would have started! Has any one encountered this problem before?

yes

when we went to germany we sailed there and roy (yorbandit) decided to turn his bike off about 50 yards off the ferry which resulted in a alarm that wouldn't disarm same make too

I told him to get pushing and it worked fine after a few hundred yards

just remember it for next time and set up a pin override :)

Yeah....I've heard of several places where the bike or car remotes won't work.....often near large transmitters, etc.......
