I am in the process of rebuilding a '67 BSA A65 Lightning. I am interested to know if there is anything I can do to improve the suspension characteristics of the bike? Emulator kits for example. I haven't been able to find any information on this, or any aftermarket options.

not unless you want to start adding gussets and welds to the frame to make the frame more rigid and stop some of the flexing in it and maybe get modern rear shocks for it with covers to look like original units
