Guest Posted January 3, 2008 Posted January 3, 2008 can anyone recommend a welder or someone who might be able to shorten my sidestand...I had my bike lowered and the side stand was shortened but not quite enough as my bike is almost vertical when on it and I have to really think about which way round I park the damned thing - if there is even the slightest camber upwards the bike will fall over thus making my little grey cells work even harder trying to park it than ride it !! Put it in First gear when you park up to keep it a bit more stable until you get it sorted (Sensible bit) Buy a hacksaw (Silly bit) Quote
Guest Posted January 3, 2008 Posted January 3, 2008 I had a full suspension kit made by Kais in Atherton (they do the suzuki racing team suspension ) it was done for my height and weight -- they also dropped my forks as I didnt want to have them cut so I can put it back to spec to sell it (I have the original suspension tucked up safe n sound). The suspension that has been made for my CBF will also fit a Hornet which I can now rule out unless I buy an older version as the newer ones are even taller!!They shortened the stand but after the last few ride outs and camping trips it has proven to be not enough as a tiny incline causes it to topple over irrespective of whether I leave it in first gear or not..... the domino effect is not very fetching!!!
