rough running

hello peeps I have just spent over 100 hours rebuilding a ajs eos 125 bike has just passed a mot at cg chell in Stafford wicked bike shop ... the bike will NOT run without a bit of easy start when you stop bike another squirt of easy start is needed to get it running again and it runs real lumpy PLEASE HELP GUYS

Welcome to TMBF mate.......

I would say you need to go over all the basics again mate........Valve Clearances, Spark Plug, Coil, Carb set-up, etc..... Did you replace the air filter? Does it have the correct quantity of oil in?

Sorry if this advice is teaching you to suck eggs.....but a lot of this stuff does get missed and can cause poor running problems.

If I were going to hang my hat on one thing, I'd be checking the compression and valve clearances.....

hi have had the valves ect checked at cg chell in Stafford all good have had the carbs ultrasonic cleaned wow running better .I have a split in the rubbers a big one from carbs to air box just ordered a new one will keep informed thank you very much for the advise cheers

The rubber boot split could be the issue,

Air filters and boxes are normally designed for that carbs tuning in specific, giving the correct air/fuel ratio.

Like normally, changing to a pod filter can leave your engine running slightly lean,

Your carb could be intaking too much air than whats designed in manufacturers airbox..

But as Tango said.. Normally the simplest things get missed, and normally there is a simple reason behind things..

How true. When my much loved Capri died on me a few years back a quick check under the bonnet it was one of those simple little things that had caused it to stop.

A piston had come through the side of the block.
