wugzie Posted January 18, 2014 Posted January 18, 2014 Don't get on here much, but thought a heads up about PRESTIGE MOTORBIKE COVERS and PRESTIGE CAR COVERS (Gateshead TYne & Wear) would be useful to you guysBasically, if you're in the market for and outdoor/indoor cover, my advice is to go straight to SPECIALISED COVERS (Shipley Yorks). They actually manufacture the covers that PRESTIGE market as their own. But PRESTIGE seem to be a one man band that simply orders from SPECIALISED. My experience has been that PRESTIGE were reluctant to communicate after my order was placed and paid for. The guy that is supposed to run it (Scott) never returns calls and is never available to receive calls, the only contact is a clueless soul on the end of the phone who seems unable to do anything. The whole experience for me was frustrating to say the least, but after many phone calls/emails, the cover finally arrived - direct from SPECIALISED COVERS!!!!! Quality of the cover seems OK, but it hasn't seen rain yet, so will post again in due courseWugz Quote
DreamytimeEscorts Posted January 18, 2014 Posted January 18, 2014 That doesn't sound like a glowing recommendation to be honest. Quote
wugzie Posted January 18, 2014 Author Posted January 18, 2014 Well, R&G and Oxford are similarly priced, but these come with a longer guarantee & do seem to be more solidly constructed. But the reason for the post was the heads up about PRESTIGE Quote
DreamytimeEscorts Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 Fairy Nuff.I use a Bike Barn so it's a moot point anyway If I did need a cover for more mobile use I'll keep prestige in mind. To avoid them! Quote

DreamytimeEscorts Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 how do you rate the bike barn? I'm thinking of getting one myself Totally brilliant.I've had mine about ten years. No rubbed paint, you can put the bike away wet, no plastic melted onto the exhaust and is a lot more convenient: You only need to lift up up/down to get the bike in and out. Easy! Quote
Stu Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 hmmmm If I cant get an 8x10 shed cheap enough I might have to get one Quote
