Guest Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 Is the hazard perception the same as car as it id for motorbike? Any good online hazard perception tests to trial out?Is the highway code all the same for bikes and cars?Basically just want to know that I am not missing out any essential training.. As well as the forums on here and other places, is there a really good all in one site that I could spend a few days on? Quote
maccy Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 the hazard perception test for bikes is pretty much the exact same concept yes. You can pick up hazard perception tests everywhere. I know that WHsmith always sell them. As for finding them online, couldn't recommend any but doubt you could go far wrong by looking around. There isn't different highway codes, its a general set of rules for everyone using the road. If you have already past your car one, It will be a breeze. best way I found to revise though was getting the app on my phone. just went through a few mock tests on work breaks or any other free time. Much easier when its always there for you to access rather than just when at home on the computer or whatever. Quote
cockercas Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 I used a app on my phone to revise for the multipel choice part, and never bothered about the hazzard perception bit. If you have been driving awhile i found the problem of clicking to early when you see the hazzard. Quote
Guest Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 Any good links to online motorbike theory test (up to date)I think I can only find 2?? Quote
Guest Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 Also stopping distances:I have read that they are the same for bikes and cars.. ?? Quote

Roxyy Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 I've just passed my theory test today most of the questions were exactly the same as on the disc with sample tests I learnt from which I got on ebay for £7 - I think worth the price! Quote
SamboRambo Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 The theory and hazard perception for bike is tailored for a bike rider, that's why you get a different theory cert, otherwise you'd be able to use your original. That said from a car driver of over 10years and done more miles than the average will do in a lifetime I can honestly say that it stumped me on quite a few things, don't be complacent. Learn the weird things, the odd things like the 50billion types of tropical bird named pedestrian crossings, learn national speed limits for different types of roads, and more recently they've added in ATM & MM Active Traffic Management & Managed Motorways, the types of solid/broken and both lines, when to use certain lanes, colours of "cats eyes" for different lanes. Hazard perception can be failed but I don't really see that happening. It's fairly straight forward click when you see a hazard emerging and click again when the situation changes with say another hazard etc, personally I'd have a look on torrent sites for the software.... Wait. Can I say that here? I'm sure it'll be blocked if not. Quote

Roxyy Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 Sell your disc to the OP. You Dont need it anymore (well done by the way)Yeah actually is yours mrk123 for £5 including postage if you want it has 14 sample theory tests and 14 hazard perception tests, each hazard perception test has 14 clips. You can use it for learning eg while doing a test you can view hints and particular part of highway code related to the question or just do sample tests without the hints. there is also full highway code in pdf. On my actual theory test were were only 3 questions that were different from these from the discThanks Joeman! Quote

Guest Posted February 22, 2014 Posted February 22, 2014 It's really annoying how none of the softwares you can download or CD ROMs are all PC only, and not MAC. What is the point?Roxxy is hoipefully going to confirm if that CD ROM of his can transfer onto hard drive, as I have a small PC NET BOOK but it has no disc drive.. Quote

Just make an ISO of it on another PC/mac and play it through poweriso or demontools or whatever on netbook, and as for the point of making em for PC? I whole heartedly agree. Since windows 8 where they copied OSX for some god knows what reason? That's why windows was popular, because it didn't suck like apple. But now it's all the same were destined to have no diversification. Rubbish. Quote
Roxyy Posted February 22, 2014 Posted February 22, 2014 CD ROM of his her As SamboRambo said, you can make an ISO image on mac or other pc using demontools then put ISO file on memory stick and play on netbook Quote
Guest Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 Hi mate - Just thinking , do you want to send me a paypal request for this money?I have PM you...Please let me know when... I would love to get stuck in this asap..Thanks again. Also, it says it has 14 sample tests... are the tests static in that they dont change? Is there a data base of questions? Or are they just in the tests?? Quote
Roxyy Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 They don't change but there is also "Random test" you can take which consists of random questions. There is about 700 questions split into these test, you can also select practice mode which is split into categories eg signs, alertness, motorway rules etc and if you cover all practice categories the questions are the same as in the tests but you can also view the hints Quote
