  1. I don't think it makes much of a muchness personally. For the opinion poll I'll vote out, mainly as I've not been given any concrete info of either side other than fear tactics/propaganda, I'm willing to take a gamble. We won't stop trading because we left the "treehouse club". We don't really get dictated to, we choose to accept guidance and enshrine it as our own law/regs. If you look at it, it's not very often (not as often as made out at least) the ECHR overrules us and I don't think it's a bad idea to have an extra pair of eyes making sure things are done right. The conservatives... Hmmm... Now I voted for them. However since then I've seen them demolish (services) my local hospital, (in preparation for selling off-I presume) remove the Highways Agency from crown responsibility and turn it into a government owned company which allowed a known asset stripper take over the majority of its tendered contracts- just happened to 'strip' the guy who taught me my trade and is the nicest and hardest working man you will ever meet, more years continual service in this country than I've been alive. No loyalty to this country or any other. But I do think closer to the equator wouldn't be a bad idea... I'm still waiting for this damn global warming to increase the temperature! Might go outside and burn a plastic bag, do my bit etc.
  2. I'll admit I'm a bit of a jessy with weather... And I don't have waterproofs, 10degrees and it went on the Oxford charger, and that's where it'll stay till march at least!!
  3. I'd say negative first on account that it is earth, so if you short it to earth/frame etc then no harm no foul. Just put an acceptable IP rated single pole rocker switch inline from live and mount somewhere accessible, heck if you feel a bit crazy, put a kinda fighter pilot flip up cover ROCKET switch in!
  4. Funnily enough the BNP had a really good manifesto in 2010 or 2012? I can't remember, I remember reading it and thinking, "oh eck! This has been written by someone with their head screwed on!" Obviously it was bull and I'd never vote for em, however as a protest vote the greens?.... I didn't like the carebears when I was a kid and I can't stand the grown up versions now, I don't think a drum circle and a bunch of angry vicious feminists is going to help us. I got defriended on facecrap the other day for calling milliband a gayboy and clegg a ponce. I'm used to friends and random people I meet throwing me to the kirb because I don't share their ideology of holding hands and loving each other up the bum (metaphorically not homophobically) with a new sapling in each hand sat on the bonnet of a hybrid beaming with so much smugness at my own amazingness at being so "equal" (which means f*ck the indigenous) and fair to all those that don't deserve my s*it on their plate! but not for calling a politician a silly name?!! I was more confused and to be frank, thankful I was rid of them, I don't have time for odd folk like that. It's confusing why we can't vote on smartphone apps or like you said just a computerised method?! There are fantastic ways to secure these kind of things, eBay hasn't done much to credit that line of thought recently though mind....
  5. UKIP's policy if I'm not mistaken was to allow parents to 'buy' 10 extra days holiday from schools (I think buy?) as long as it's a sensible fee, I'd much rather pay that than 3 times to cost of an abroad holiday in term time....... There's too many tree huggers out there so we'll never be giving up on lower emissions- (which I kinda agree with angrily....)
  6. Fewer cars I consider myself a bit of a grammar nazi, so it's refreshing to be called out for a change! Thank you!
  7. Opinions aside. One cannot dispute the support they've got, and we're only halfway through counting.... If nothing else I think the main objective has been accomplished and the point is clear. Britain is a very angry place right now and the morons up top needed to hear it in a poll, not just in the daily mail where understandably it's laughed at. From a biking perspective if we got rid of a rook of people there'd be less cars on the road! Benefits all round there. ( I'm not pointing fingers at any creed or race or ethnic background there! The bad dole dossers would be ideal for that candidacy.)
  8. Which one were you? Shouldn't be too hard to spot a lady there, I only saw one or two riding women?...
  9. I hope there were more than 3! If my boots come today and other factors work out I may pop down tonight, ain't that right thunderpantz?!
  10. New boots Tuesday!! If anyone's about? (If they actually come...)
  11. Yep, it went. 138K. It's a pants car but it's been mine for the last 3 years so I'm pretty gutted! The 13plate mondeo helps a little though- although it's slower?! Beyond economical repair was the term, but that's only because they have to use brand new vauxhall parts and that's £5.5K?!!
  12. Jackets been posted back to me but boots had to be sent to supplier so still gonna be unable to ride... I'm not going out in toe-'tectors, I've heard stories!
  13. Weather buddy, it's not been favourable. My jacket and boots have been sent off for repair so I'm OOA till they return, I met up with someone the other day off here. Keep plugging! Where you based johnny D?
  14. I thought you could on a 125 now? They changed the rules this year or last didn't they? I don't know exactly what they are but they changed it!
  15. http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/03/15/jugegery.jpg What we think?...
  16. My apologies for coming in late! And mr denz? One word.... Awesome!!! Can't get enough of it, I've been trying to get thunderpantz on the job but I don't think he likes me... lmao. I've clocked up 300-odd miles so far, my furthest ride was into Brum down a38 from Lichfield, then I got lazy cus it was dark and I wanted my tea so used the back roads to frankley services and up the motorway, felt like a bit of a Wally when I realised I had another gear when joining the M6.... I have my daughter this weekend so nothing doing for me, however I'm on nights wed &thurs, which means I'm available during the days, if anyone's about, yes you too mr pantz!
  17. I've had my ER6 since the start of this month, and while I know it's not the biggest bike in the world or most loony, but by Christ it's plenty for me, I've been taking the softly softly approach to running it in, with a few episodes of f*ck this s*it, I'm bored- and letting her open (but not fully), it just pulls at any revs? I pull back and it just goes?! I had the front wheel up in 4th I'm sure? Maybe 3rd or 5th, I never know but that'll come I'm sure, it was a split second but that was my cue saying "alright now ya penis, reign it in" I've done 250miles on it so have a long way to go before it's "run in" according to the guy at the shop, just need to find nice runs to take it on without too much high speed road, found the joys of horse poop on a bike joeman... It's slippy! Good job I play it extra careful when going to my mums, and my dads, and the grandparents. I personally ride so I'm going comfortable round corners, I don't rev the nuts off it and I don't let it splutter, probably around the 4k mark? Redlines at 10 or 12? But she ain't gonna see that colour for a long while yet!!
  18. Just make an ISO of it on another PC/mac and play it through poweriso or demontools or whatever on netbook, and as for the point of making em for PC? I whole heartedly agree. Since windows 8 where they copied OSX for some god knows what reason? That's why windows was popular, because it didn't suck like apple. But now it's all the same were destined to have no diversification. Rubbish.
  19. The theory and hazard perception for bike is tailored for a bike rider, that's why you get a different theory cert, otherwise you'd be able to use your original. That said from a car driver of over 10years and done more miles than the average will do in a lifetime I can honestly say that it stumped me on quite a few things, don't be complacent. Learn the weird things, the odd things like the 50billion types of tropical bird named pedestrian crossings, learn national speed limits for different types of roads, and more recently they've added in ATM & MM Active Traffic Management & Managed Motorways, the types of solid/broken and both lines, when to use certain lanes, colours of "cats eyes" for different lanes. Hazard perception can be failed but I don't really see that happening. It's fairly straight forward click when you see a hazard emerging and click again when the situation changes with say another hazard etc, personally I'd have a look on torrent sites for the software.... Wait. Can I say that here? I'm sure it'll be blocked if not.
  20. Well, I only care about how little I spend, I don't have the governments bank balance at my disposal, I have mine. If it makes it cheaper, I'm game.
  21. Are the facts here not correct? They moved the boundaries in 2010, my work car used to be free on tax at 119, they were missing a big chunk of their income from it so they moved the boundaries again, ok it's only 30 or 35 a year now but times that by how many cars in the astra bracket there are... Bit of pocket money isn't it? I and my partner signed anyway but the figure hasn't gone up even after confirming. I think it's rigged anyway.
  22. I don't think you'll slow me down! I'll be taking it steady for the foreseeable future! Ah water who cares? Lol all we need are goggles. Till March!
  23. It's set then! Well, time, date and location not but that's not important eh?... Actually where would be a place mutually agreeable between Stafford and wherever you live? And denz near penk if he's up for it.
  24. I don't even know where Matlock is..... I need to find somewhere to do the whole breaking in thing once I get it, I've read so many different ways to beak in and of all the different methods? I'm just going to ride it safely and go up through the revs, not cane it, put it under pressure but not too much. (Different subject for the thread there!) so I'm looking for the fabled "twisties" a good run to go all through the gears and back down in quick succession, any suggestions are welcome, thunderpantz and denz90wolf, I'd be honoured if you'd accompany me! You'd be my first biker friends anyway (in real life). The gear I got is boring apart from the helmet which has Bluetooth Built into it?!! Amazing!!!
