Hey,

A dreaded newbie here :)

I booked and passed my Theory test back in Jan this year, with flying colors.

With which I booked my CBT course. I did a bit of browsing to find the best feedback for instructors around my local area (West Norfolk) and I was expecting to do my off road CBT pieces in a car park/ yard but was pleasantly surprised to find an instructor that had the use of a GoKart track near Swaffham. And I kid you not it helped me alot with not having to worry about the small area to work within, and I had the freedom. I hadn't rode a geared bike for about 10 years and was very rusty. But now that's all behind me, Now for the MOD 1 test.

Basically just want everyone's opinion on how hard the swerve test is? and the other elements?

I am going to go with the instructor I had for my CBT so I'll have the track to practice the MOD 1 test on, which I think will elp alot.

If anyone has any advice that would be brilliant and I'd be very grateful.

Its not as tiny as it looks on you tube.

And its more of a steer/lean one way then ride to the cones.

Most of the swerve is done after the avodince cones.

I agree with cockercas, youtube distorts all the angles, widths etc.

The fact that you are going to the test centre area to practice is a great idea. I did that the day before my mod 1 last year and it helped a lot knowing the layout and speeds etc for the various sections. The avoidance isn't something to worry about as you will see when you get there. As with most things in life, the waiting is worse than the event.

Best of luck with it, let us know how you get on :)
