  1. I certainly looked at the outside cone on my second MOD 1 test and it helped a lot, and I also found it easier going round it as a left hand bend swerving to the left. compared to the right (which i hit cone with my toes) look to the outside cone and you'll do well. Good luck for your 2nd try!
  2. No idea as of yet, been looking at a nice Suzuki SV650 s with all the fairing on it, a nice curvy one at that too lol
  3. And just to update I past my MOD 2 test yesterday so am now fully licensed One happy camper!
  4. Thanks one and all I shall update regarding my Mod 2 as soon as possible
  5. Just an Update for all you lovely people I re-did my Mod 1 yesterday morning.... All went rather well, The swerve this time was a swerve to the left (which I preferred as I could do the Left swerve no problem). (for obvious reasons I blacked out a few bits on the below image) But I'm pleased to say I PASSED!!!
  6. only Mere days now until attempt two and I think I know where I went wrong to be so close to the cone in the first place.. not closing the throttle early enough, that second can make all the difference...
  7. def, I shall just slow down a tad bit hit the swerve doing 56kpm so I can slow down a tad just enough to get more over for it. all worth it in the end.
  8. Thank you everyone, so today I did certainly have my MOD 1 test, didn't get off to a good start made a silly mistake riding into the test area causing me to stall (my big size 13s were just slightly still on the rear brake). Manual handling, perfect. slalom and figure of 8's, perfect. Slow ride, Perfect. U-Turn, perfect. Controlled stop, Spot on. Emergency stop, Spot on. But.... The swerve (the bit I was dreading perfection in training) HIT A FLIPPING CONE WITH THE TIP OF MY TOES!!! Just Wobbling the cone.... Equalled to a Serious Fault and a FAIL!!! was gutted and kicking myself on the ride back one simple thing caused me to fail...a few more cm's and I would of sailed through with one riding fault!!! Better luck next time!
  9. Thanks! I will be sure to share my experience pass or fail on Thursday evening!
  10. depending on how far you want to travel, Anglia training services over at north pickenham, near swaffham are very good. He trains on a go-kart track, so plenty of space for everything, very patient chap and gives very good advice and instruction
  11. Today I have booked my 3 day course for my MOD 1 and MOD 2 tests, Training on the 8th April, Mod 1 test on the 10th April, And if I pass MOD 1, Mod 2 test on the 16th April. Now here's to hoping the time goes quickly so I can enjoy them and stop worrying about the swerve maneuver

  18. Any Advice for the Mod 1 Test... Im dreading the swerve test.... But anyone got any advice for that or any of the test?
  19. Hey, A dreaded newbie here I booked and passed my Theory test back in Jan this year, with flying colors. With which I booked my CBT course. I did a bit of browsing to find the best feedback for instructors around my local area (West Norfolk) and I was expecting to do my off road CBT pieces in a car park/ yard but was pleasantly surprised to find an instructor that had the use of a GoKart track near Swaffham. And I kid you not it helped me alot with not having to worry about the small area to work within, and I had the freedom. I hadn't rode a geared bike for about 10 years and was very rusty. But now that's all behind me, Now for the MOD 1 test. Basically just want everyone's opinion on how hard the swerve test is? and the other elements? I am going to go with the instructor I had for my CBT so I'll have the track to practice the MOD 1 test on, which I think will elp alot. If anyone has any advice that would be brilliant and I'd be very grateful.
