Chain!

Since my bike took a hit on the right hand side, that chain no longer rides fully on it's roller and is semi rolling on the metal bracket, which has caused it to wear away!

Red is the roller Green is the bracket

Question is, has the drop bent such a thick bracket towards the inside of the bike? Or is this a totally different matter?

Anybody know what I should do to get it on the roller again?

I assume you've tried to move it back onto the roller by hand? I'd be looking at your wheel alignment, on either side of your swing arm next the the bolt and nut for the rear spindle there's little marker lines make sure they're both the same either side, so for example 3 notches on either side. If they aren't the same your wheel isn't straight which will cause the chain not to be straight, it's a simple job to do.

what do you mean it took a hit on the right side?

sounds like somethings out of alignment :?

The rollers or chain guides do wear.....so it may be normal wear.....

But check the wheel alignment just to be on the safe side..... 8-)

It "fell" onto it's right, but I'm pretty doubtful that it had bent a thick bracket like that!

And Tango, I mean the the roller itself is not worn away, the chain is misaligned from it's position so I'll check the alignment soon! :)
