fitting new pads to bandit 1250s

Hi .wondering if someone could help me out.

I had a go at replacing the rear brake pads on my bandit 1250s 07 plate today.not realy mechanicaly minded.just got a bit of info off youtube,( a bit it was ).rear caliper is off .but as it came off there something like a clip inside the top that also came out.,seems as though its were the new pads fit into ,and I cant figure out how to get it back in and what it is.i have the piston pushed in ,any advise ,,much appreciated.

Anti-chatter plate?


It just sort of lays on the top of the pads when they're in the caliper. Stops em rattling. I had some ping out of a CBR many moons ago and left them out.
