Guest Posted May 7, 2014 Posted May 7, 2014 I have previously post a thread titled "rear spindle". This is linked to that, i was changing my rear bearings. For some reason I can't get one bolt on the sprocket to tighten, its just spins.all of the bolts did spin but after putting pressure on the sprocket I could tighten them but not with the last one! Any ideas what's causing this?Cheers Quote
Glorian Posted May 8, 2014 Posted May 8, 2014 When i changed my rear sprocket i found there were groves that the sprocket had to sit in to stop anything spinnign while i tightened it.Also i put loctite on the bolts to stop the risk of them coming undone. Quote
Guest Posted May 8, 2014 Posted May 8, 2014 All the bolts sit in some rubber casings,I cant see anything they are meant to bolt in to!i can't even see what the point in them is as its a round metal circle that keeps the sprocket in place ( cant remember the name)Thanks Quote
megawatt Posted May 8, 2014 Posted May 8, 2014 Normally the sprocket studs are pushed in from the back of the carrier. They have a flat on one side that touches the outside edge of the carrier casting. They have to be pushed fully home from the back to stop them turning. Quote

Tango Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 The "studs" on the Speedie are actually allen bolts.....have to use an allen key on the back to stop them spinning..... Quote
