Guest Posted May 27, 2014 Posted May 27, 2014 Hi everyone.I need some help with the bike named in subject if anyone owns one, has worked on them or has a wiring diagram I would appreciateit very much.Just picked up a chop project with the engine fitted as mentioned, GSX750 not sure exaclty the age but about 1980-81. Not much present in the way of wiring loom, but there is a regulator/rectifier, and CDI/igniter.I'd like to atleast get a spark before blundering on with anything else. There are HT coils present and a starter relay.I can get the engine turing over and it will kick out the required voltage from the regulator.None of the boxes have the plugs on still just cut endsIf anyone knows for definite if any other parts/black boxes are required to complete the igniton/starter circuit, and if not, how to wire up what I have present I would really appreciate the help.I'm not a novice with bikes or mechanics, but when you don't know if all the parts are present and you can't even find a manual/diagram on the web, it's a bit more tricky.I have the Starter and relay, Regulator (3x Yellow, 1 black, 1 green, 1 red) , CDI/igniter (1 blue, 1 green as a pair, 1 O/Wh, 1 Blk/Wh, 1 Blk/Y, 1 Wh as a grp of 4)A Blue and a Green emerge from the R/H/S from the igniton timing pickups off the crank, and I'm tempted to think they might connect to the Blue and Green pair off the Igniter/CDI.... but not sure. There is output of 14v on the Red of the Regulator when engine turns over.Just not sure how to connect up the Coils, Reg, CDI, and Pickups, and/or if there is anything missing.I politely refer back to my first sentence. I'm not looking for generic basic fault finding here, I'm ok with that. It's specific info on the Subject bike that I would really appreciate.Feel free to contact by PM.thanks in anticipation.Nick Quote
