Spraying

Recommended Posts

Hi Guys.

I'm going to buy a new bike on Saturday.

Half of the cover (which is shown in the picture) is grazed off, so it will need either respraying or a new one put on (not needed, but will make it aesthetically better)

This isn't the bike itself, but the same model.

Is it like spraying a fairing, or would I have to use different sprays. I've never sprayed anything before so could it be done easily?

Cheers

Spraying is the easy part it's all about the prep you will need to sand and sand and sand through different grades of paper until it's 100% smooth if you don't it'll just show scratches through the paint. You would need to use engine paint or a high temperature paint for obvious reasons.

So yes it can be done but needs time and patience to get a good finish. Alternatively you could get it powder coated.

Edit: They're not cheap though haha seems cheaper to buy a new one/paint it!

Although it does "protect" it.
