Evening all.


Just fixed my bike up and i noticed an odd noise when i rev heavily. I managed to edit some footage which you can hear it in. Anyone got any reocmednations before i go taking parts off?

I think i'll take the tank off and check thats bolted down. exhaust seems fine.


Will see what rattles :D

Ok tank is bolted down fine. But it's the only part that has changed so logically it must be this thats making the noise..? I'm going to put some rubber between tank and frame and see if that is causing the issue

That deffo sounds resonancy.


I had almost exactly the same thing on mine which came and went depending on how much fuel I had - it was the seam of the tank just touching the frame. I opted to shim the tank up at the mounts a few mm and it cured it.

Hmm i might try fill it up then see if that stops it! Not sure if i can adjust the tank much in terms of position. so maybe a piece of rubber where (if) its touching will solve the problem!

Put rubber on the frame. didnt help. filled up the tank didn't help.


Running out of ideas now.. Gonna put old tank on and test it. If no noise i know tank is dodgy.
