yamaha fz pickup problem

Recommended Posts

Hi all, my yamaha fz gives a lot of noise on acceleration but the pick up is less. I got it serviced a few weeks back and got the oil and air filter changed. Any advice what could be the problem?

Sounds like something on the airbox hasn't been fitted correctly. Induction roar and lack of pickup due to disturbed airflow? Does it do it when revving freely when in neutral or just under load?

Are you saying the revs are climbing but not going anywhere?

If so it sounds like clutch slip to me

It was clutch problem.

Checked the airflow and all it was working fine. I had got air filter changed some timeback so that cudnt be the problem.

Then got the clutch plates and hub checked and they were exhausted. Got them changed and the bike is up on the roar again. :D
