Tango Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 How's your battery voltage?......heard of speedo problems caused by low battery voltage before. Take a look on eBay to see if there's any used sensors available.... Quote
Guest Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 My battery is fine I've tested it. I will have a look on ebay. Thanks. Quote
mealexme Posted July 15, 2014 Posted July 15, 2014 Not sure what the speedo is like on your bike. If its the "old" style (ie not digital) then i believe it uses a speedo cable. If thats the case (which I doubt, looking at those prices for parts, but I'll carry on anyway to help you or anyone else with the same issue) then have a look at this video "> The video tells you how it all works and will help you work out if its the cable or sensor. If you are doing, say 30mph and the speedo ranges from 0-60mph, then its more than likely a cable issue. Is the speedo going down to 0, then returning to the correct speed, or jumping up way above the speed you are traveling at?Also, is it digital or... The other type (not sure what to call it) thats seen in the video? Quote
