Hi Guys,

I've had my CBF 125 since the start of February and use it pretty much everyday to get to work. I try and give it a good clean at least once a week, and recently I've noticed loads of part have begun to show wear and tear. On some of the aluminum bolts, oxides started to form which looks really bad - sometimes I can't fit the bike in the shelter and it just so happens to be the day that it pours down :x

I've read a couple of other posts and it seems a few people have complained to Honda, who have then got all the parts replaced (I've got my 2,500 mile service coming up, so I'll bring it up then) but for now is there any way to remove the visible oxide or rust which is already on? Also on various parts of the bike like the exhaust, the paints starting to peel off - how can i prevent this, and could I just respray this myself?

Thanks in advance for any help,

Kirky

Get Honda to replace it under warranty.......start fiddling with it or spraying stuff yourself and you give them the excuse to walk away.....

Yep, its a new bike son its worth seeing if Honda will sort it.

Once its sorted then application of ACF50 on metallic parts after cleaning and drying will help prevent rust. It will also help take off minor rust.

Autosol is good for cleaning up more seriously discolored parts and wet kitchen foil (honest) for cleaning downpipes.

You can also get bike covers that fold up small into a bag that may be useful for work.
