oddballs61 Posted September 20, 2014 Posted September 20, 2014 I have a 99 bandit 600 and noticed that the instruments aren't too well illuminated at night, can anyone recommend an upgrade bulb for them or will I have to go to HID ?thanks Quote
mattycoops43 Posted September 20, 2014 Posted September 20, 2014 It will have mini bulbs or grain of wheat bulbs and most of them will be knackered. Unbolt your clocks, take the back off and change the bulbs. Change all of them as they go dim before they die. You will be amazed at the difference. I did it on my FZS and it transformed the bike at night.Don't know the exact details of the bandit clocks, but I am sure someone can give you some pointers. Quote
Tango Posted September 20, 2014 Posted September 20, 2014 Welcome to TMBF mate......pop over to the Newbies section and introduce yourself to the guys when you can..... I think that you can get LED replacements for the bulbs in the clocks...... have a look on eBay and see if you can find the right ones..... Quote

wr6133 Posted September 20, 2014 Posted September 20, 2014 I swapped my clock bulbs out on prior and current bike for the tiny LED ones. Awesome difference easy to see and the light seems to spread more evenly across the clock (probably due to the way the LED's are arranged). Quote
Tango Posted September 20, 2014 Posted September 20, 2014 Dunno if these are the right ones.......http://www.autobulbsdirect.co.uk/286-T5 ... 86LED.html Quote
