Harri Posted December 21, 2014 Posted December 21, 2014 Hi guys, my 97 XF650 cases could do with a cleaning up. What method are you guys using to get old cases looking good again?Barcud Quote
Tango Posted December 21, 2014 Posted December 21, 2014 Depends on how bad they are and if they've got any kind of paint finish on them and its condition..... I wipe the Speedy cases over with a bit of ACF50 on a rag as they've got a good black finish on them. The Honda cases are a bit tatty, so they're gonna need a good sanding down and repainting.......and possibly some polishing on the silver casings...... So, there could be a few options mate...... Harri Posted December 21, 2014 Author Posted December 21, 2014 Hi guys, they're not too bad but would look better a bit cleaned up. You can see the cases on this pic. Quote
Stu Posted December 21, 2014 Posted December 21, 2014 close ups would be better when you get a min if they aren't too badly pitted then a wire wheel on a drill will take all the paint off very easily then use an etching primer then repaint in a matching colour or polish them up if you want! I would repaint though Quote
Harri Posted December 21, 2014 Author Posted December 21, 2014 Thanks Stu. She is tucked up jammed behind the car in the back of the garage at the moment. I will get a couple of closer shots when she next comes out Barcud Quote
