Great ride today in the 4 degrees & slippery roads. Got a bit better when Mr sun popped out. Best route to date, hands down - definitely will be re-visited in summer!

This coming saturday (14th). marks 6 weeks to go till the clocks change. can't come soon enough. the cold doesn't bother me so much, its the shortness of the days... at least the sun is a little higher in the sky now during the day so not as dazzling.

biggest problem round here is the lack of heavy rain... not been any for weeks so the roads are well rubber coated which with the generally damp air makes for [strikeout]interesting[/strikeout] entertaining riding conditions.

The cold doesn't bother me... it's the fact that in that up until 1pm or so, the roads were slippy as anything... just enough grip to make it a good ride.
