My bike will start with the sidestand down........but as soon as I put it into gear it'll cut out if the stand is still down........so you may want to check the sidestand switch like the others have suggested......

And try to get it into neutral before trying to start it again...... 8-)

I have days like those Ricky......

Normally right near the sidestand pivot........look for a wire coming from that area and the switch will be right there...... 8-)

Will have a look now

Also put some fuel cleaner in other day worked obviously until it stopped working after kick stand down...

Don't think it would make a difference

Switch looks good moves accordingly to kick sprayed with wd40 and tried starting in neutral .

Still same outcome.

Had a look at the spark plug didn't have the right socket but got a shock off the wires going down to the head of the spark plug.

Sorry if I've missed this but can you hear the fuel pump in the tank buzz when you turn the key?

To test compression put your thumb over the sparkplug hole and press the starter button there should be enough force to push your thumb away. If both are fine pour some petrol into the spark plug hole and replace the plug and try and start it, if it starts you have a problem with fuelling.

Solved!!!

Bought a 10mm spark plug socket and an iridium spark plug

Cr7hix

And it started first time revving around 2000 rpm

But I'm sure it will come down...

Checked old spark plug was covered in carbon

And compression test worked fine

But the spark plug still sparked which is confusing

But mods please relabeled topic has solved for future
