ChattyCheats Posted February 24, 2015 Posted February 24, 2015 Hi all,Just a quick question, do track day organisers allow you to use a camera either on your bike or helmet? I've seen loads of people do it but have they just put them on without the organisers knowing, or is it the organisers themselves who put it on your bike?RegardsCheats Quote
Mr Fro Posted February 24, 2015 Posted February 24, 2015 Bike: Yes, most places have a guy that will hire you cams and set them up for you.Helmet: No. Quote
ChattyCheats Posted February 24, 2015 Author Posted February 24, 2015 Cheers Mr Fro. If you have your own camera can you use that on the bike? Quote
Mr Fro Posted February 24, 2015 Posted February 24, 2015 Yes - I have one that I attach to the tail looking forward as my arsecam. Just make sure it's securely mounted. A bit of paracord or something attaching it to the bike as a secondary just in case the mount breaks isn't a bad idea (ask the stewards how many cams they pick off the track at the end of each day). ChattyCheats Posted February 24, 2015 Author Posted February 24, 2015 Happy days. Ahhh the strength of paracord.... Quote
Mr Fro Posted February 24, 2015 Posted February 24, 2015 I've heard it has magical properties...You got some track days in mind then? There are a few people on here (including me) who get on track now and again... Quote
cockercas Posted February 24, 2015 Posted February 24, 2015 Cams are allowed. Not on your person or helmet or fuel tank. I always thread a tie wrap on mine just incase. Ive seen a couple laying on the track. There is a clause on the msv form saying footage is for personal use and not allowed to be uploaded to youtube. Not that it stops anyone. Quote
ChattyCheats Posted February 24, 2015 Author Posted February 24, 2015 Mr Fro,Yeah im currently away with work till the end of next month but looking at some for when I get back. Want to do brands hatch first as its closest to me. No limits are doing one on the 31st of march. Might book myself in the novice group and give it a go? Quote
