Hi guys,

I own Yamaha FZ8 for two weeks now and noticed that my fuel meter shows full tank all the time, flashes 8 times and goes off for about 2-3 seconds. According to the service manual this is caused by malfunction of electrical circuit.

Does anybody know if this is something that I can fix it by myself or this is serious and I have to go to the dealer?

Anyone experinced the same problem?

Thanks,

If you have only had it two weeks and you got it from a dealer take it back for them to sort out

No, it came from a guy, not the dealer, model 2011.

I will contact the dealer but they will charge me fortune I suppose. Anyway if there is no other way,... :(

I would start googling as you may find a fix

Does it have obd diagnostics port on it?

I would if I knew mate. I sent a link to an FZ8 forum. Didn't think you would want me to advertise it

Update on the issue,... The problem was serious and the dealer gave up after four weeks. I guess he tried to make it cheap, but at the end he realized that the ecu must be changed. Anyway I got my money back and now I have FZ1N.
