Hey guys gals.

Anyone have one of them cigarette charger things on their bike to charge a satnav or phone.? Is it called a 12v charging point?

Are they easy to install and would I get one on my 5eb?

Also do you use your phone or a satnav

Yes, I fitted one to my Virago. I use it with my phone for a sat nav. Dead easy to fit and very cheap to buy.

If you use a charger like an optimate where you leave a lead attached to your bike to plug the charger in to then the easiest solution is to make a lead that plugs in to it with a cig socket attached

that way you can leave it at home when not needed

heres one I made earlier

It was a bit fiddly but that was mainly as the sprint doesn't have much in the way of spare handlebar to attach it to!

There's loads of cases for phones and sat navs, it's come up on here a few times if you search the forum. I am currently trying out a tank bag although early experiments haven't gone well!
