WonderAve Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 First off, I apologise for the string of 'help me' threads, however... Help me, pretty please:( I just noticed while checking and correcting my tyre pressures that the inside of the tread on my rear tyre is cracking, I don't know anything about this issue other than, it definitely doesn't look healthy... in the attached pictures, the worse of the two is only in about 3 of the 'tread trenches' and the rest look the like lesser damaged of the 2. Replacement tyre? Or is there a fix (I hold no hope). Thanks guys. Worse Tread Better Tread Quote
Phooey Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 Looks like new tyres to me mate. Others who are more experienced than I may disagree though. Quote
eastanglianbiker Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 New tyre time they are cracking up from age or lack of use and wrong pressure in them allowing them to sit while flat check out black circle tyres Quote
Stu Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 yup new tyre time tyreleader is cheaper than black circles Quote

Stu Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 no worries steve tyreleader is in europe though and black circles is one of the cheapest in the uk tyreleader can get them to you in 3 days cheaper Quote
WonderAve Posted April 12, 2015 Author Posted April 12, 2015 Thanks guys:) Much appreciated! Was looking at around 55 so its a great saving! One question, what are the shipping times like for both sites? I need it here ASAP because I want to drill a few miles on them before the big Sunday trip (300 miles or so) at high speed. Want to have it worn in by then which means it'd have to be delivered and fitted by around Thursday or Friday to give me Saturday to pile the miles on at lower speeds. Thanks for your help:) Quote
Stu Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 tyreleader about 3 days dont worry about scrubbing it in just get on and ride when its fitted Quote
WonderAve Posted April 12, 2015 Author Posted April 12, 2015 So Wednesday then, roughly? And you mean don't worry about the speed or don't do that silly sandpaper thing some people do? Quote
Stu Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 neither dont worry about scrubbing them in just fit them and ride the thing even it if means doing your long trip on them Quote
