Bonniebird Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 http://www.ashleymartinmemorialrideout. ... y2015.htmlAnyone else up for this?Meeting at Spicers IQ Cambridge Research Park, Waterbeach just off the A10 at 9am for a run up to Hunstanton. In aid of Magpas. There was around 120 bikes last year and a well organised event. If there's a few of us locally we can arrange a run to the start. Quote
Grumpy Old Git Posted May 6, 2015 Posted May 6, 2015 Sorry but I am off on holiday then.Hope you have a good run out. Quote
Guest Posted May 6, 2015 Posted May 6, 2015 I'm on this trip, hoping to get to the Science Park at about 9.30.If it's dry I'll be riding a Scott Flying Squirrel, whether it'll get to Hunstanton is in the lap of the gods, every journey is an adventure on this bike.Bill Quote
nman1 Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 Where do you want to meet Mandy and at what time????. Sounds like a good plan to me. I enjoyed it last year and weather looks good. Quote
Bonniebird Posted May 7, 2015 Author Posted May 7, 2015 8.45 at the Marina?Bob reminded me that it took a fair while to get over there last year and we haven't booked wrist bands in advance this year Quote
Bonniebird Posted May 7, 2015 Author Posted May 7, 2015 Correction. Bob has booked ours but we still need to pick them up when we get there Quote
Tango Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 Yeah....they'll be happy to flog you one at the entrance Neil........we've got to pick ours up there too...... All proceeds to MAGPAS........so, it's all for a good cause...... Quote
Bonniebird Posted May 7, 2015 Author Posted May 7, 2015 You can still book online, they just can't post them out anymore but you can pick it up when you get there. May save a bit of time Quote
Tango Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 Are you gonna give Darren a bell and see if he's up for this, Neil? Quote
nman1 Posted May 8, 2015 Posted May 8, 2015 Not got his number Bob, I lost it when I changed phones. Would be good to meet up with him but not sure how to contact him. Quote
nman1 Posted May 9, 2015 Posted May 9, 2015 Tomorrows looking a bit of a no go. Just got back from a fantastic ride out and a phone message says I've been invited round some friends for a curry night. Being a solo old git I don't like to refuse such offers as if I do they may not invite me again. Knowing the crowd I'll be with, copious amounts of alcohol will also be consumed along with the curry. As it's an early start, me thinks I will still have beer, wine and possibly vodka in me veins. Pity because I got up this morning thinking it would be a good ride out and a chance to catch up with you guys.Next year for Deffo. See you on an upcoming Tuesday. Quote
Tango Posted May 9, 2015 Posted May 9, 2015 No probs, Neil.........I think we're gonna catch up with some of the Hinckley Triumph mob at Hunny.........so it should be a good day out hopefully....... Quote
nman1 Posted May 9, 2015 Posted May 9, 2015 Jet got home, plenty wine and beer so no bike tomrrow Quote
Bonniebird Posted May 10, 2015 Author Posted May 10, 2015 It was a good turnout today - probably twice as big as last year.Quite a few other bikes at Hunstanton too because the weather was good Quote
