Guest Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 Hi, I am wanting to buy a performance air filter for my KSR CODE 125 but when ive looked at the current air filter they is two pipes coming from the air fikter box and goes into the engine, what are these and what do I need to do to them if I want to fit a perforance air filter? Thanks Quote
maccy Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 Isnt the reason behind those pipes being there obvious? Its so your engine only draws in clean air from the air box. You wont have to do anything to them. Just remember to get your bike dyno tuned after, your bikes gonna be fast as f**k innit bruv. Quote
Guest Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 Yes I know they are there for a reason (obviously) but a perforamnce air filter does not have no attachments for them pipes to go onto? Quote
megawatt Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 Do not fit a so called Performance air filter!!! If it flows more air, you will need to modify the carb to flow more fuel. If you don't , it will run lean and destroy your engine. Quote
Lumor_uk Posted May 24, 2015 Posted May 24, 2015 oil breather hose is one of them not sure about the other Quote
Tango Posted May 24, 2015 Posted May 24, 2015 The other one is likely to be the Secondary Air Injection (or whatever it is called on your bike)......which puts air into the exhaust system for emission control. As others have said......don't do it unless you make sure you blank the SAI and get the fuelling sorted to compensate......
