WonderAve Posted June 14, 2015 Posted June 14, 2015 Hey all, long time no read! Hope you're all well. Anyways, been trying to change my exhaust this afternoon and the flange is stuck on! Bolts are out but is it just road holding it there or is there something I'm missing? Honda cbr 125 Quote
Stu Posted June 14, 2015 Posted June 14, 2015 Can't beat a tight flange Anyway Is this the end can your talking about? It could just need a good old wobble and a pull Some can be tight fitting Quote
WonderAve Posted June 14, 2015 Author Posted June 14, 2015 Indeed! However I'm replacing the whole system and I mean the flange which joins the downpipe to the cylinder head. I'm replacing because of a complete split round the downpipe about 2cm from the flange. Meaning i cant use the downpipe for leverage Quote
Stu Posted June 14, 2015 Posted June 14, 2015 Same again really it just sounds like a tight fit Once the bolts are out there should be nothing holding it You shouldn't need a lot of leverage just a steady wobble to loosen it Quote
fq-craigus Posted June 14, 2015 Posted June 14, 2015 Few taps with a persuader will loosen some corrosion Quote
