squeeling when pulling away

Recommended Posts

hello peoples..

got a bit of an issue, well, not an issue as such, just a query, as id like to get to know what it is..

I get this squeele if i pull away quickly!

its a quick squeele, and stops, only on that split second im pulling away hard, like out of a junction thats on a slight incline.

or if im green laning. you know, on loose gravel, a nice rev and dump the clutch and wheelspin away.

it only happens on hard pulling away..

but i dont know what it is..

its sounding like its coming from the left hand side of the bike, but cannot pin point it, as obviously

i have to be riding the bike for it to happen, and the squeel stops quickly, so not enough time to get my ear down and pin point where it is..

also, it doesnt happen all the time.. Like for instance... sods law.. if i want it to happen

when i get the quick squeel, it doesnt have full pulling power.. so im thinking, maybe clutch slip?

but ive never heard a clutch squeel on a slight slip before..

ive had my old kymco hit a bump with a knackered clutch, and it just reaches redline and constantly spinning without driving my rear wheel, but even that didnt make a squeeling noise..

im having a hard time saying to myself that its the clutch, as the bike has only done 3 and half thousand miles from new, but i do ride it like i stole it.. All the time...

Always going down back roads popping wheelies with the clutch etc...

(and yes, the little engine does have the power to pop a wheelie and keep it up)

cheers
