Guest Posted September 19, 2015 Posted September 19, 2015 Hey guys just looking for a little help here, My knowledge on bikes is very limited so go easy on me:)so i bought my lexmoto lowride second hand and was not in too bad shape,Recently i had a little bump with the bike nothing serious but now there seems to be something stopping the bike from starting, Its turning over fine but there is no spark in the spark plug, bought new ones and the same thing, Anyone have any suggestions on what i should do?, Any replies will be appreciated Quote
Topper Posted September 19, 2015 Posted September 19, 2015 Not very clued up myself either pal. have you checked all the leads?Did the battery get damaged in the bump? There could also be a sensor stopping the bike starting for safety reasons...............try googling the fault it may prove advantageous sorry cannot be of more help Quote
RantMachine Posted September 19, 2015 Posted September 19, 2015 Solenoid is a MAJOR weak point for those bikes, but if you're certain that it's turning over then that's not going to be an issue on this occasion Quote
eastanglianbiker Posted September 19, 2015 Posted September 19, 2015 silly tho this might sound..................................have you made sure the kill switch on the handlebar next to the throttle is in the run position? Quote
Guest Posted September 19, 2015 Posted September 19, 2015 Thanks for the reply guys I'll have a look at it tomorrow and let you know further Quote
andy-iow Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 You might think I'm mad but its a Chinese bike I have a Chinese 400 Skygo (copy of a Yamaha virago) and it will not start if the Side Stand is down, Turns over but will not start until I flick it up - bit of a pain in the butt as its not got a main stand so working on it was a pain until I by-passed it Quote
