Was going to get a scotch brite wheel for drill and sand down the engine then move onto wet n dry, read around that it can leave damaging particles in your engine which are 40 microns (whatever that is) small and can wear down your engine faster than Usain Bolt.

I want something to start the sanding off, then move onto 600 grade and 1000 paper.

What's peopels thoughts on scotch brite and any other suggestions for my drill, specifically anythihg that will get in between my fins.

Thanks.

So long as you plug up any holes (carbs, exhaust, oil, breathers) before you start then I wouldn't worry about getting stuff in the engine. Top tip is use a vacuum cleaner with one of those pointy attachments to take off as much dust and stuff as possible then give the whole lot a rinse with a hose before un-bunging it. Microfiber cloths are great for getting dust off too.

Maybe a cleaning sollution? Like WD or 100% rubbing Alochol?

I have all holes bunged up with the ever professional blue roll. will this do?

Also what scotch brite parts are best, seems there is an entire range.
