The Voyager Posted January 3, 2016 Posted January 3, 2016 I've soaked in WD40, then used soft wool fiber then used soft brass wheel on a drill. Got to this. after some metal polish from a distance it isn't so bad. But is there a way to make this baby look like new?? http://s3.postimg.org/a7rrm0bwf/image.jpg Quote
Six30 Posted January 3, 2016 Posted January 3, 2016 To get them looking proper , reckon they will need a refurb. Quote
The Voyager Posted January 3, 2016 Author Posted January 3, 2016 do you refer to a re-chrome? If so that's out the window. They are not to bad after a bit of metal polish and as long as you don't stand to close to the wheel Quote
Paul-Kent Posted January 3, 2016 Posted January 3, 2016 Once the plating has lifted there's no way to get it looking the same. Maybe get it as clean and shiny as you can the get some clear coat over the top to preserve it Quote
eastanglianbiker Posted January 3, 2016 Posted January 3, 2016 correct cure is new rims but to cover up for now you could use something like this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/12mm-1-2-JDM- ... Sw1S9WeQLW Quote

If so can you suggest anything that won't make the existing chrome look dull? Quote
eastanglianbiker Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 the chrome has fractured and lifted no way to sort it out apart from replace or re-chrome it Quote
