YBR dies when throttle is released.

Like I mention, it's only a solution if that's how the bike was set up like the Aprilia I referenced, it had no idle screw, its idle was controlled by throttle position held by the cable. Crude wasn't the word

Bike only has a handful of sensors if it's like the CBF. Moos CBF does have an idle control screw, and it was cutting out so I replaced the lot and fuel pump. It was inexpensive and cured the issue!

My bike doesn't have an idle screw, tickover is controlled by the ECU. I wonder if it's the same with the YBR?

It's not... I mentioned it's on the throttle body

Anyhow, fitting the TB tomorrow so will report back with my findings.

Ah, sorry, I missed that.

TB change didn't work. Continuity found in sensors. Gave up. It is now with the mechanics for a proper diagnosis.

It sounds suspiciously like an air leak somewhere, are the exhaust headers seated and tightened properly?

Are you still getting the bus to work Phil or has Sabrinas bike been sorted ?

Problem sorted.

My diagnosis of the coil was correct... My decision to order an aftermarket one was apparently not.

New OEM coil on, all good.

Good good, too many puddles maybe ?

Nah. Just one of those things! Never mind.

The words Yamaha and buggered coil end up in the same sentence a lot.

Older models of Yammies seem to have this issue, I've known a good few. Glad it's sorted! It sounded electrical but it's always hard to track the things down without meticulous checking and rechecking!

hi im having problems with my ybr250 just wondering if you could sell me the spare 1 you had,i stripped and cleaned mine but in the process snapped the throttle position sensor, got another and the engine management went out,but was bogging under high load, stripped and cleaned again ,but this time wouldn't start, not priming, changed the fuel pump but now will start but very boggy and wont tick over, and management light on ,im looking to replace the throttle body as quite sure its that, otherwise I might have to strip tank down and double check the fuel pump, noticed that when you switch bike off I can hear bike priming, not sure if that's right any advice warmly welcomed jim
