voiska Posted April 7, 2016 Posted April 7, 2016 Hi Guys,My first post so sorry if I'm in the wrong area. Please check my thread to save me re typing everything (http://www.thegsresources.com/_forum/showthread.php?239102-Yet-another-No-Spark" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;)This is driving me mad, I don't know what it could be.My last few tests lined up are test stator coils, test caps, test plugs. I just turned her over in the dark to see if I could spot a rogue spark but nothing... Quote
Tango Posted April 7, 2016 Posted April 7, 2016 Welcome to TMBF mate. .....pop over to the Newbies section and introduce yourself to the guys when you can. ...... Have you eliminated the crank sensor.....or the cdi unit? TBH with a bike of that age I wouldn't mind betting the crank sensor has popped it's clogs..... Quote
voiska Posted April 7, 2016 Author Posted April 7, 2016 I have tested everything around the ignition module. All power, coils and earths are connected and checked with correct voltages and continuity. Obviously there is no true way to test the module :/ I checked the receipt and it was purchased a few years ago (£90!!!) so I don't feel like replacing that willy nilly hahaI'll look into crank sensor that's new to me. Thanks Quote
voiska Posted April 7, 2016 Author Posted April 7, 2016 Not yet..Will 1 plug fail cause all the others to not spark? Quote
Stu Posted April 7, 2016 Posted April 7, 2016 No but replacing them then you know they are all good! how are you testing for spark? Quote
