Epic Earl Posted April 18, 2016 Posted April 18, 2016 a few of us go out on the bikes these days and two of us currently have a blue tooth headset, but it only allows 2 to talk at any time.So we are wanting to get a headset which will allow 4 of us to all talk at the same time if needed.Anyone got any recommendations, preferably around the £80 each range. Stu Posted April 18, 2016 Posted April 18, 2016 you will struggle at that price for a 4 system! check out scala rider packtalk but be warned they aren't cheap Quote
Oasis Posted April 18, 2016 Posted April 18, 2016 I've been searching for something similar but that can connect a dedicated sat nav, mobile phone and another rider. I think that must be stretching the bluetooth limits as I can't seem to find anything. Quote
Stu Posted April 18, 2016 Posted April 18, 2016 you arent looking hard enough Oasis! I have a scala rider Q3 as does the wife I can connect my sat nav, mobile, bluetooth to the wives headset as well as 2 other headsets, has built in radio and auxiliary input too Quote
Epic Earl Posted April 18, 2016 Author Posted April 18, 2016 Ive seen a shark system online for about £170 for a twin pack. just curious as to what other brands there might be and peoples experiences. Quote

It's not in there!Wife: 'sigh' What's this then? A f**king donkey!?! I'll have a google for the q3. Cheers!Having a look around, this might be of some use to the OP. Has multipoint technology so can connect to two devices at once. And it's £80.http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/cardo-scala-rider-qz-motorcycle-bluetooth-hands-free-kit-p45476.htm#description" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Quote
funinacup Posted April 18, 2016 Posted April 18, 2016 Possibly a silly question but when connected to another rider, is the chat 'always on'? Or is it required to press a button to talk etc? Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk Quote
Stu Posted April 18, 2016 Posted April 18, 2016 press a button to talk and most have VOX where it will connect if you say something although its not instant connection VOX can be turned off on most Quote

Stu Posted April 18, 2016 Posted April 18, 2016 its actually really convenient press a button on the side for constant connection or wait till you want to speak and make a noise wait for it to connect and talk away once the system is quiet for 30 seconds it cuts the connection we have ours constantly connected except at higher speeds when the wind can become an issue Quote
Chrissb6 Posted April 18, 2016 Posted April 18, 2016 Hi Guy's We have been using these sets for a couple of years now only problem we have had is that the lining of our particular helmets gave no room for the speaker so l modified our sets to use sound cancelling ear phone the units are stereo very easy to pair up and very very clear for the money you can't go wronghttp://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2X-6-Riders-1200M-BT-Motorcycle-Helmet-Bluetooth-Headset-Mic-Intercom-Interphone-/321924293753?hash=item4af42ee479:g:7roAAOSwJcZWe8x1" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; for the money. Joeman Posted April 18, 2016 Posted April 18, 2016 So frustrating that most intercoms limit the number of people who can talk at once. What we need is the good old fashioned CB radios on bikes! Then you could chat to anyone and as many people as you like. These look interesting for the price:https://www.pmctelecom.co.uk/tti-pmr-506mh-super-slim-pmr446-radio-helmet-mic-kit" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Quote
Stu Posted April 18, 2016 Posted April 18, 2016 CB is only simplex though so only one person can actually talk at a time! although everyone can listen! on most headsets you can usually only talk to one person at a time the newer ones offer full duplex between all headsets and everyone can hear Quote
