Malachi Mitchell-Thomas was killed in the supertwins race today crashing near Black Hill.

This follows the 2 rider incident between Dan Cooper and Ryan Farquhar which has left Farquhar critical in hospital with chest and pelvis injuries.

I'd heard about Malachi before and new he was up and coming and one to watch. Shame he didn't reach full potential.

We were at the Spring cup last month.

Billy Redmayne died a couple of days after the crash in the main race.

We were on the paddock wall when it happened so did not see the incident (near memorial I understand) but you could sense from the outset it was serious. It was unusually hushed yet quite frantic walking through the paddock to get out.
