This was spotted during my bikes recent service, not noticed it myself as the bike doesn't seem to be running rough or any louder than normal.

Does any exhaust gas pass through that section of the downpipe?

Any thoughts on the best way to fix this, is it possible to use JB weld or something similar?

Its an 09 Street Triple.

1. Yes.

2. JB weld will not provide more that a temporary fix.

Find someone with access to a welding kit and get a small 'plate' welded over the crack - other option is 'silencer bandage' (again, a temporary fix).

:stupid:

but that doesn't even need a plate, just dress it up and weld over the crack.

If you were close i would have done it for you
