It's a 1986 Raleigh Maverick , always fancied one when I was younger

This one appears mostly original

Stripping it to give it a thorough cleaning

I'll probably sell my modern mtb and run this

Considering it's 30 years old, I find it amazing that the style really hasn't changed that much over the years

Personally I think the older bikes are more comfy to ride, something about modern bike geometry doesn't work for me

Properly fitting seat isn't actually that bad, done 140 miles over 2 days several times on mine. I find big wide saddles chafe

mate of mine rode from his house in scunthorpe to mine in chatteris had a cup of coffee then rode home again just over 210 miles in a day and the seat he used was not to bad so he says
