Westbeef Posted November 7, 2016 Posted November 7, 2016 Is it an after-market fuel pump? I know some after market ones do whine. Quote
Stu Posted November 7, 2016 Posted November 7, 2016 They all whine knowing the difference between normal and excessive is not something that can be diagnosed over the internet Quote

Skimblet Posted November 7, 2016 Author Posted November 7, 2016 They all whine knowing the difference between normal and excessive is not something that can be diagnosed over the internet Its been like it since I got it, its not overly loud, I just wondered if they all do it. I'm still getting accustomed to all the sounds the bike likes to make depending on speed, temperature etc Quote
Stu Posted November 7, 2016 Posted November 7, 2016 Mine whines constantly if you stick you ear on the tank you will hear it Although some model years of the YBR had issues with fuel pump but this is related to the bike stopping! and don't start by been noisy Quote
Skimblet Posted November 7, 2016 Author Posted November 7, 2016 I'm all good then as bike starts and moves okanother sound to stick in the "that's normal, stop being precious" collection Quote
Chrissb6 Posted November 7, 2016 Posted November 7, 2016 They all whine knowing the difference between normal and excessive is not something that can be diagnosed over the internet Always good to make notes in your head of the different sounds that come from the bike, as a plant mechanic l always walk round with ears and eyes open monitoring the plant whilst in full flight, any squeaks groan's or other are never over looked or ignored. A 5 min check over with a grease gun or a tighten up with a spanner here or there could save you from untold drama and expense. Quote
