Guest Posted November 23, 2016 Posted November 23, 2016 Let the bike idle as I put my gear on this morning, due to the bike not being ridden for a few days and being left outside in freezing temps.Usually I'd hop on, start it up, couple of blips of the throttle to get the neighbours out of bed ([emoji6]) and away I go.After a few mins I notice the idle changed tone, a lot. Blip the throttle and it now "barks" as opposed to revving smoothly.https://vimeo.com/192811129TLDR:Bike now "barks" instead of revving smooth. Quote

Stu Posted November 23, 2016 Posted November 23, 2016 thats certainly missing a little did it clear once warmed up? Quote
Joeman Posted November 23, 2016 Posted November 23, 2016 Have you been messing with the mapping?? Quote
Guest Posted November 23, 2016 Posted November 23, 2016 Have you been messing with the mapping??About a week or so ago I adjusted the fueling as it was cutting out at low RPM (a common mapping problem on TT600's)The only reason I don't think it's to do with the map is that it didn't happen overnight, the bikes been fine since the updated map and only happened once the bike was warmed up? Guest Posted November 23, 2016 Posted November 23, 2016 TuneECU also reads ignition and coil pulse timing, which all haven't changed.. which confuses me even more as to what the problem is. Quote

Guest Posted November 24, 2016 Posted November 24, 2016 Fair point. So looks like a new set of plugs? Quote
Guest Posted November 24, 2016 Posted November 24, 2016 Just got back from the garage, he also thinks it's a misfire. Luckily I bought a replacement a while ago so it's ready to be identified and it's only the 1 that's on it's way out.Bumpy idleHesitates below 3-4KAfter 4K it's perfect (unloaded)So it's booked in on sat. Whilst the petrol tank is off I'm gonna get the spark plugs updated too. Quote
Guest Posted November 28, 2016 Posted November 28, 2016 Looks to be the IACV needs replaced or resealed. The mechanics sprayed some petrol into/onto it and the bike instantly sprung to life before quickly going back to sounding horrible as the obvious air leak came back.http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20161128/8fe96edc177d778032307b44a20c153d.jpg Quote
Guest Posted November 29, 2016 Posted November 29, 2016 All sorted. Small split in the hose and resealed the IACV. Quote
