Leeballs Posted December 17, 2016 Posted December 17, 2016 I have an old 86 trx250 fourtrax that I have been restoring. The other day I cleaned the carburator out but didnt take anything much apart. When i put it back in and turned on the fuel it all came pissing out of the overflow valve and wouldn't stop. Any help is appreciated.Cheers Quote
Stu Posted December 17, 2016 Posted December 17, 2016 Hi and welcome to the forum Sounds like the float is stuck open and just allowing the fuel to flow through have you set the float height too? Quote

Stu Posted December 18, 2016 Posted December 18, 2016 You might want to invest in a workshop manual and find the settings for the float height Hopefully spanner will be along soon as he is a good source of manuals and may be able supply you with a free downloadable one Quote
ThePhatomfart Posted December 18, 2016 Posted December 18, 2016 Hi Stu , yes do you need the Workshop manual, I also have the Owners manual if you need that as well, the carb is a Keihin PJ05A if your looking for that info Quote
Classickid21 Posted December 19, 2016 Posted December 19, 2016 sounds like sticky float, clean the pin for the float and check the needle is still there. you can test the floats are moving buy blowing down the fuel line, the float lifts Quote
