tbone.inniss Posted January 13, 2017 Posted January 13, 2017 My Kawasaki er-6f has had its 600 mile service, after warming up the rpm fluctuate s between 800-900 rpm when idle is this a cause for concern or is this normal.ThanksSent from my HTC One M9 using Tapatalk Quote
Stu Posted January 13, 2017 Posted January 13, 2017 Idle sounds a bit low to me! What does the manual state the idle should be? usually about 1250 -1350 +/-50 is the norm a low idle could make it erratic as it may well be struggling Quote
Tango Posted January 13, 2017 Posted January 13, 2017 Yeah, 800-900 rpm is a bit on the low side...... Quote
tbone.inniss Posted January 14, 2017 Author Posted January 14, 2017 Yeah it's meant to be 1200-1300 should I adjust it or take it back to dealership as its fluctuating. Would it need value adjustment?Sent from my HTC One M9 using Tapatalk Quote
Tango Posted January 14, 2017 Posted January 14, 2017 Yeah, I'd run it back to the dealer and get them to sort it out.......don't touch it yourself as it may cause problems with the warranty. .... Quote
tbone.inniss Posted January 14, 2017 Author Posted January 14, 2017 OK I'll book it inSent from my HTC One M9 using Tapatalk Quote
tbone.inniss Posted January 14, 2017 Author Posted January 14, 2017 I called the dealership and they said increase the rpm to 1200 if it carries on then bring it inSent from my HTC One M9 using Tapatalk Quote
Guest Posted January 14, 2017 Posted January 14, 2017 It's dead easy and I'm sure 1200 is what the manual says. There's a little plastic screw on the right hand side that can be used to adjust it. Quote
