Welland Valley

I love the Welland Valley; almost no traffic, beautiful views and gorgeous villages.

I was planning on going to look at Triumphs in Peterborough, but the unexpected appearance of a green lane scuppered that.

It was plain sailing to begin with, but then it suddenly became nothing but vicious narrow ruts, huge drops and mud pits. No idea how I made it through without binning the bike or pulling a muscle.

I had to stop and have a breather once I found the end, it'd been really hard work and not something I'd have done with these tyres and panniers had I known.

So, off to Welland Valley instead - scooting to the McDs north of Market Harborough.
