Oil filler cap

OEM transmission oil filler plug gets in the way of carburetor float chambers, which makes sliding out the carb for jetting changes more of a chore.

Coolant / oil leakage

Replace those metal washers.

Cylinder head and radiator thermoswitch plugs: M14 fiber washers.

Oil sump and clutch cover plugs: M10 fiber washers.

Ignition replacement

Only ground the blue wire if you want to restrict top speed.

Bikes manufactured from 2013 with mag wheels require a 2006 - 2012 spoked front wheel.

Fuel gauge substitute

Put a 2mm blanking cap on the auto vacuum carb nipple.

Secure the rear fender by drilling straight through its mounting lug holes with a 5mm bit. Use 5x50mm screws, 5mm star washers, and nyloc nuts. Acerbis's enduro rear fender bag is a perfect fit for Hünersdorff's Fuel Friend 1L container.

5mm plastic straight piece between fuel tap - carburetor line. Refill container from the bike's tank using the manual tap.

SX 50 chain guard rubbing off tyre wall

Use spacers, or grind swing arm mounting lugs off. Single seat bikes don't require chain guards for public road use.

2006-2009 headlight straps

When they split, replace them with Polisport Halo straps.

Preventing a damaged battery

Without a lid, it bounces around. Use a few pieces of high density foam underneath, and around it.

Marzocchi forks: use SX 50 springs and preload spacers
