Hughmoz Posted June 9, 2018 Posted June 9, 2018 Hello, Can anyone point me to a good diagram showing the air mixture and fuel mixture screws on the carburettor of this model please. The book that I have on Chinese/Japenese 125cc motorcycles is as clear as mud and I have located one screw on the side (right side of bike) that adjusts idle speed or, is it air/fuel mixture?, but, have no idea if it is air or fuel and how one is supposed to adjust either? fastbob Posted June 10, 2018 Posted June 10, 2018 Without knowing this particular carburetor but having worked on many other carburetors I would say that the screw on the the side is probably the idle setting that simply raises or lowers the slide height. The mixture screw or Pilot Air Screw will usually be located underneath and to the rear of the carb . They are usually up a little tunnel but are sometimes blanked off to comply with U.S. anti tampering laws . A Pilot Air Screw usually has a recommended setting and is only influential of slow running . It does not influence high speed running because the carb will on the main jet by then . It you are running a standard exhaust and filter then the Pilot Air screw is best left at the factory setting that can be found in the manufactures' workshop manual which doesn't help I know because its a re branded Chinese motorbike.
